My DH, who leaves with Mike and the rest of 1/44 on 7 April 2003, to Kuwait. Come home safe, we'll miss you!! I'd post a pic, but I don't have any online... he's camera shy! LOL

I'm overjoyed!!! I heard from John last night, and he sounded great!!! He was asking about the kids and told me he is still in Kuwait, but they got their equipment today. We got cut off, but I got to tell him I love him, and I'm hoping to here from him again soon.

Just an update... I talked to John 2 times this week, and he is going into Iraq either tonight or tomorrow. He is safe, and can't tell me much about his mission, but said he'll be in northern Iraq. He was very concerned about the kids being sick, especially about Shane, and sad that he missed Shane's first steps, but seems in good spirits otherwise. He and Mike are separated, Mike is on a detail in another camp, so they probably won't be together this whole deployment. Please keep us all in your thoughts, as well as all the men and women out there. I know it seems the worst of it is over, but this will be a very unpredictable time, and they cannot let their guards down.
