Casualties of war already... :(

Moms View Message Board: The Fox Hole (War-Related Discussion): The Momsview Tribune (Share/View the Latest Updates on the War): Casualties of war already... :(

When I signed onto AOL the first thing I saw was "Helicopter crashes, 16 casualties". 4 American, and 12 British Soldiers died today, in a helicopter crash, as I'm sure many of you have heard by now. Let's please keep their families and fellow soldiers in our thoughts, and hope this is the worst we see during this awful war. BTW, there were no reports of enemy fire causing the crash, it is under investigation to see exactly what happened.

How awful. My heart goes out to their families and friends.

Until the recent hours, I have not seen much on the war. I did however have the TV on when the first bombs were dropped the other night. I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I don't care to watch it round the clock. The first time, I was absorbed in it, but this time it feels so much more real and life and death. I know there was life and death the first time, but it just feels different this time.

I agree it is diffrent. Maybe because we know if they try they might/could get to us. Where as before we always assumed we were safe. KWIM? Like this fight means more because they have to prove to the world that we will not be messed with with out us fighting back so that we never experience a 9/11 again. It is sad it has had to come to this. I just keep thinking of the riots in California and Rodney King saying "Can't we all just get a long?" I just pray that all this is for a purpose and that we come out on the other end better and safe again. (As safe as we can be anyway)
