Please help with the lingo

Moms View Message Board: New to Moms View? Introduce Yourself!: Please help with the lingo
By Nymom on Thursday, July 26, 2007 - 07:24 pm:

Hi,nymom here, I've already posted one message, and received lots of wonderful responses!
I need some help with the abbrevaitions, what does, dh, ds, dd, etc. mean? It seems like husband/son/daughter, but I'm not sure, especially with the d in front. Thanks!

By Ginny~moderator on Thursday, July 26, 2007 - 10:34 pm:

Well, the "d" can mean dear, darned, dratted - but mostly "dear" husband, son, daughter, stepson (ss), stepdaughter (sd), mother in law (mil), father in law (fil), son in law (sil) or daughter in law (dil). And gs is grandson, gf is grandfather, and so on.

Here's a link to an internet acronym dictionary: abbreviations

Just click on the link, and select the first letter of the abbreviation. I'm sure you know lol is laughing out loud. On of my favorites is roflmbo - rolling on the floor laughing my butt off.

By the way, welcome to Momsview.
