Two grown sons, Bruce is 39 and is married to Richann. Doug is 34 and single. Nichole, our beloved grand daughter is 11

I'm retired from working for pay. I volunteer now. In the past I've been a university instructor, a manager of a bowling center, with restaurant, cocktail lounge and card room, an office manager with a DOD contractor.

I enjoy photography and writing poetry and short stories. My spare time is spent walking, reading and chatting with friends on line. I walk three miles three times a week either at the mall or on a woodland trail.

Karl is a retired Army officer. He retired as a colonel after 29 years. He loves taking care of me even when I don't want him to. We've been married for 41 years now.

I've been a volunteer staff worker at the White House handling President Reagan's mail. I'm now a Newport News City Commissioner, sitting on two commissions. I'm Editor of the monthly newsletter for the North End Huntington Heights Preservation Association. I also volunteer at the military consignment shop one day a week, and facilitate a depression support group.

While raising our boys, we moved every two and a half years, living in TN, VA, NJ, WA, PA, and Germany, often at two or more places within that state or country. We now live in a historic house on the James river. It's listed on both the Virginia and National Register of Historic Places. We even have a ghost. I'm an avid collector. I love antiques and collect brass and crystal candlesticks, furniture, depression glass and too much other STUFF
